ABC Magazine
The ABC magazine is a monthly colour magazine run by Chesterton volunteers and distributed free of charge, incorporating the villages of Chesterton, Middleton Stoney and Wendlebury (approximately 750 copies). Further copies are circulated electronically. Regular articles include a What’s On Diary for the month, a Parish Council Report, church service times, plus other articles of a veterinary, film, gardening and local history nature. Please email chestertonmag@gmail.com if you wish to contribute, or if you live in one of the villages mentioned but do not currently receive a copy.
Coffee Afternoon at The Red Cow
Drop into The Red Cow from 12 noon every Friday for as much coffee/tea and cake as you can manage, It’s a great chance to meet and chat with other village residents, and all for just £2.50
Village Film Night
Film Night is held on some Wednesday evenings (7.30pm start) at the Community Centre. Tickets £5 (cash only). The bar is open and refreshments are available from 7pm and it is a great way to meet residents in a relaxed setting. Community Lunch at CC
Last Wednesday of the month at 1pm (except July, August and December), 2 courses for £6 incl. tea/coffee. Wine available.

Chesterton Events Committee
Chesterton Events Committee (CEC) was set up in 2003 by Candy Pheasey, Erika Board and Catie Williams to organise events and raise money for clubs, societies and good causes for the village and surrounding area. The committee is now Candy Pheasey, Marilyn Simpson and Fiona Rowe and is a subgroup of the Community Centre Trustees.
In addition to the many plays, music acts, and dance evenings, we have also held a safari supper, comedy evenings, Last Night of the Proms, community lunches, murder mystery suppers and outdoor plays. A street party was organised for the Jubilee. The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and The King’s Coronation were celebrated with lunch, village competitions and a treasure hunt. A thank- you lunch was held for supporters of the Great Wolf opposition.

The Evergreens
For members aged 50 and over. The group organises a wide range of fun get-togethers, activities and interesting monthly outings. Please telephone 01869 252806 for further details.
Football
Chesterton Football Club has 17 teams ranging from U6 Development, school year 1, covering most age groups including Women’s and Girls’, Senior and Veteran Men’s.
Teams play at Chesterton Playing Field and Bicester Sports Association in seven different leagues. They train at the first class facilities of Whitelands and Cooper School throughout the winter months returning to grass in the summer.
The Club has grown from humble beginnings but can be traced back to the 1890’s. It has never been as successful as it is currently. Our intentions are to offer the best sporting experience to as many local players as possible. The club has a vibrant Committee of unpaid volunteers who ensure players of all ages and ability have an equal opportunity to enjoy our sport together in an organised and safe environment. All Managers and Coaches are suitably trained, have current Criminal Record Checks completed and are compliant with FA Safeguarding regulations. The committee work hard to ensure that everything is in place in order to offer the best experience to their players. Cricket
Chesterton Cricket Club was formed in 1897, playing home fixtures in Bignell Park. The club moved to the current site circa 1950 when Chesterton merged with Wendlebury Club. New changing rooms were added in 1976 and the club continued to grow when we joined the Oxfordshire Cricket Association in 1995, reaching Division 3 in 2013.

Other activities that take place in our excellent, modern Community Centre are Rainbows, Table Tennis, Zumba, Yoga, Silver Swans Adult Ballet, Short Mat Bowls and more.
